Johnny Laman – McHenry County Magazine – Kevin Shelton introduced Johnny Laman to the Board and then asked them to join with him in commending Johnny for the extraordinary amount of effort and hard work that he has put into his fashion designs for which he was highlighted in the current issue of the McHenry County Magazine. Kevin noted that the high level of talent displayed in Johnny’s work is very impressive. The Board congratulated and commended Johnny and Tom Low presented him with a certificate and district flyer.

Kevin Shelton- IHSA Kishwaukee Region Herman Graves Award Winner – I reported to the Board that Kevin Shelton had recently received the Herman Graves Award for the Kishwaukee Region by the IHSA. I noted that he had received the award by unanimous vote for his outstanding service to the organization, his positive impact on education and his advocacy for children. The Board joined with me in congratulating and commending Kevin for receiving this honor.

Sixth Grade Trip to Galena - The Board joined with me in commending Kathy Ort for organizing the successful sixth grade Galena trip which was a very worthwhile trip for those students who able to take advantage of this fine educational opportunity. The Board also commended Kathy Justen and the other chaperones for their assistance with the activity.
