There are a number of web sites accessible to the world that will provide resources for parents to utilize with their children.  Please take a moment to review some of the pages that have been selected and evaluated by the Curriculum Office.

Interactive Illinois Report Card:  
This Website gives State Report Card information on Johnsburg Schools.  It delineates our ISAT and ACT scores as well as our Annual Yearly Progress.  Much information can be gained regarding our schools and district.

Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE):
State of Illinois Common Core Standards: Curriculum
This Website gives information regarding the College and Career Readiness Standards that Illinois has adopted and Johnsburg District 12 will be aligning our curriculum with.

Parent Friendly Common Core Information By Grade Level. The Parents’ Guide to Student Success was developed in response to the Common Core State Standards in English language arts and mathematics that more than 40 states have adopted, including Illinois.  Created by teachers, parents, education experts, and others from across the country, the standards provide clear, consistent expectations for what students should be learning at each grade in order to be prepared for college and career. This Website offers information regarding the social emotional standards that Johnsburg Schools look at implementing in our schools.

Early Literacy

A web site that practices basic literacy skills including: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension.

Literactive
This web site can be used with students aged pre-kindergarten through first grade.  It features a phonics program, guiding reading exercises, English-as-a-Second Language activities and leveled learning activities.

Electronic Text Sites
This web site features hundreds of summarized books offering plot/character analyses and "no fear Shakespeare" transferring the Old English text into its modern equivalent.

Classic Reader
This web site provides hundreds of books broken down by chapter in an electronic format.

The Gutenberg Project
This web site offers thousands of digital books with some titles including downloadable audio files.

Baldwin Online Children's Literature Project
This web site provides information on literature for all age levels of children.
